The Premier Group is an Indiana business committed to integrating technology and design for ease-of-use in everyday life. Their showroom, located on the first floor of the Indiana Design Center, features technology options from theater and surround systems, distributed video and home music systems to controlled lighting and shades, climate control, security systems and many more automation options.

“We are proud to announce local artist Walter Knabe as the artist of the Host Committee’s
commemorative poster,” said Allison Melangton, President and Chief Executive Officer of the
2012 Super Bowl Host Committee. “The poster highlights our impressive local talent and honors
the commitment and excitement of the city as a host.”

True to Knabe’s dynamic artistic style, the poster includes Lady Victory from the Soldiers and Sailors Monument alongside Lucas Oil Stadium, the Host Committee logo and an official NFL football.  Knabe is no stranger to creating commemorative pieces.  In 2010, he was the first Indiana artist selected as the Official “500 Artist” for the Indianapolis 500 which included several manifestations of his 2010 painting that is now part of the IMS’ permanent art collection.

About The Julian Center:
The Julian Center is a unique nonprofit agency providing counseling, safe shelter, case management, advocacy, and education for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises.  Through outreach and consultation, it seeks to educate the community about the issue of domestic violence and sexual assault and its impact on all our lives.

We stopped by Barry’s new studio to ask him a few questions and for some seasonal advice:

1. Is there one thing you start with on every design project?

I start with the client first. It is important to know the person you are working with and discover what they need and desire. After that is established, comes the color scheme.  

2. What inspires you as you approach your canvas artwork projects? 

Color inspires me the most and the illusion one can create with it.  

3. What brought you to Indiana Design Center?

I had been used to working in the center with several of the showrooms. The energy I felt in the building drew me in. I enjoy being around other creative people and the atmosphere the building offers.

4.  With the holidays around the corner, what advice can you offer someone who aspires to host an elegant holiday party with a unique twist?

Of course a theme for any kind of a party makes it an event.  How about a “flash mob” party or a “holiday bling” party?  I once did a red and green pajama party for Christmas time.  It was loads of fun.

Santarossa celebrated its Indiana Design Center showroom Grand Opening in November 2012. Based in Hailey, Idaho, Sun Valley Bronze produces hand-crafted and hand-finished solid bronze door, kitchen, bath and cabinet hardware.  The bronze material offers an element of antiquity while the modern technology promises quality along with the choice of a contemporary look.  The styles pictured below are among the latest designs to be introduced to the market.

“Make Your Home a Work of Art” is Santarossa’s tagline and what it’s proceeded to do with the new showroom that’s ready to be unveiled.  As a sneak peek, we are sharing 4 “wow factors” that you are invited to enjoy at the Santarossa Grand Opening on November 12.

This naturally beautiful piece of onyx takes on a whole new look when the table top is illuminated.

Truly a "sneak peek", this custom marble shower with recessed shelving has an LED lit floor and ceiling and infiniti drain.

The colorful, circular terrazzo pattern was meticulously measured, poured, cured and polished. Each color reveals a mixture of marble, quartz, resin and glass. Reflections from the glass do not go unnoticed.

Stone becomes art with this custom-framed wall art application. Medusa Rossa stone is featured on the left and Persian green onyx is on the right.

The showroom features and details cannot be shared in a single post and, well, you’ll just have to see the custom limestone infiniti bathtub for yourself.  Be sure to stop by on Saturday, November 12 between 2 pm to 8 pm for a full tour.  All guests may register to win a free set of granite kitchen countertops!
